Canada’s top-ranked LPGA golfer will likely return to competition at the US Open, June 2-5 in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
According to TSN information obtained Monday, Brooke M. Henderson will hit the course at Pine Needles Lodge Golf Club, after an absence of just over a month, in the first round on Thursday.
According to his words, the 24-year-old athlete needed this break a lot to cure his ailments, without specifying their nature.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” he said first. When you’re not feeling your best, competing against the best in the world is really hard. Listening to your body and knowing when to step back is an important concept for an athlete. I feel better and can’t wait to get back to the fans.”
Henderson last competed in an event on the women’s circuit at the Palos Verdes Championships, which took place April 28-May 1. Before taking her break, the Maple Leaf representative hadn’t given the best performances of her career, she had given up during one tournament, as well as being a victim of the ax in two others.
His return to the game will not be easy, as it will be one of the LPGA’s Grand Slam tournaments. However, he has had success there in the past, having finished in the top 10 three times in 10 appearances, including a tie for seventh in 2021.
