On Friday, June 3, starting at 6 p.m., the Les Oiseaux Livres de Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche bookstore invites the Italian author Chiara Mezzalama to present his latest novel, After the rain, published by Mercure de France, which evokes the journey of a woman who runs away from the family home to recharge her batteries, and who becomes aware of the consequences of climate change. Régis Lejonc will also be present. Illustrated with Chiara Mezzalama the outer garden (Elephants editions). Inspired by the author’s childhood, this text shows the face of two different worlds: the interior is a fairy tale, while the exterior threatens with war. An encounter with a young boy will change the game and give another image of this scenario.

The two artists will also be present on Saturday, June 4, starting at 10 a.m., in the salle de la halle, for a writing and illustration workshop and for 2 p.m. at the Arevi cinema for a bilingual reading (French and Italian), an innovative concept rarely offered to the public.
