Hélène Gosselin, 17 years old, resident ofAsnelles (Calvados) discovered golf at the age of 8 on the 36-hole golf course in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain.

But, two years ago, the disease stopped his performances. Since then, her family has been mobilizing to find a solution so that the athlete can play golf again. It is in this sense that Sunday, March 13, 2022at 2 pm, he asked for donations to fund a specific chair.
A chair dedicated to paragolf
After some research on the web, Hélène Gosselin’s family discovered the existence of an electric wheelchair imagined for paragolf players. This equipment allows you to stay in an upright position. Hélène’s family contacted one of her users. He hosted Hélène in Flers (Orne) for two two-hour sessions last summer. For the occasion, she had also brought a golf teacher. Two more sessions are scheduled for April.
The investment is expensive, about €25,000. The kitty launched on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. has already raised €2,445 on Wednesday morning. Still to help finance Hélène’s chair, a solidarity golf competition is planned in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain throughout Friday, May 13.

Family support
The project is close to the heart of his family. “We know what she is capable of,” insists Charlotte Gouville, one of her two sisters. “It was his sport, his escape. She has a strong character, is determined and positive. She would be great if she could play again. »
“She is alone in her struggle but we can help her with her dream of playing golf again.”
Favorite sport
In golf, Hélène likes to be outdoors, to be able to play alone. “It requires a lot of concentration, patience,” says the golfer, who has found her ideal sport there. “When you take a course, it takes several hours. You have to wait for the other to play, especially not to talk when he is playing a golfer. »
This Orelsan supporter applauded the rapper on Tuesday, February 22 at the Zénith de Caen where she will return in April for the full concert on Thursday, April 28. She even had the joy of meeting him in Ver-sur-Mer and treasures a photo of her as a souvenir of her. But when it comes to her passions, it seems like nothing would make him happier than getting back to playing golf regularly.
