The Italian Golf Federation is once again committed together with Komen Italia, partner of the “Golf è Donna” project and charity partner of the Ladies Italian Open presented by Regione Piemonte, for Race for the Cure, the world’s largest fighting event against breast cancer, which returns to the Circus Maximus in Rome from May 5 to 8.

In the Roman stage, which will be followed by other events in 6 Italian cities, golf will be one of the star sports, with game stations to test the swing and the putt with the help of qualified technicians.
There will also be an infopoint to collect all the information to discover the magic of green and FIG inclusion projects, including “Golf è Donna”, an initiative aimed at growing the women’s movement ahead of the Ryder Cup 2023 and the development from “Golf for the Cure.”
Free medical examinations – The Health Village will be installed in the Circus Maximus with medical and thematic spaces in which diagnostic tests for the main female pathologies will be offered free of charge and where it will be possible to participate in numerous sports, fitness and nutrition initiatives health and psychological well-being.
Sunday, May 8, the culmination of the event with the 5 km run and the 2 km walk in the heart of Rome. In the Village, a large space will also be reserved for the true protagonists of the event, the “Women in Pink”, women who are facing or have faced breast cancer.
Thanks to their brave testimony, in addition to making the population aware of the importance of early diagnosis and sending a message of strength and hope, they generated a cultural change in the approach to the disease.
Race for the Cure is the largest breast cancer event in Italy and in the world. Four days of free activities and initiatives for health, sports and solidarity that will culminate on Sunday with the traditional and exciting 5 km race and the 2 km walk through the streets of the city center.
During the last two years we have had to adapt the format of the race for reasons related to the pandemic, but this year we can finally resume the realization of this extraordinary demonstration of social solidarity all present together.
