“She is an opportunity for the Ivorians”

The former French Minister of Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities of France, Elisabeth Moreno described First Lady Dominique Ouattara of “luck for Ivorian women”. It was when she left the audience on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Riviera Golf presidential residence in Abidjan.

What we can learn from this audience is that the women of Côte d’Ivoire are lucky to have such ambassadors with the First Lady, who has set things in motion for women to undertake, in particular micro-credit solutions. And I know that entrepreneurship is an extremely important axis of development for women, which allows them to have their economic and financial autonomy. Then we talk about youth, especially African youth who are extremely dynamic. But above all, the Ivorian youth that undertakes, creates and innovates. We also talk about members of the diaspora who are Ivorian or Franco-Ivorian and who decide at some point in their lives to return to work and live in Côte d’Ivoire.

I think that Côte d’Ivoire is a magnificent example, first of all of the ability of diasporas to build bridges between Côte d’Ivoire and France, but also of these extremely strong relations between Côte d’Ivoire and France that have existed for many , many years, and that today, more than ever in a time of crisis as serious as the one we are experiencing, requires a lot of solidarity and I think that France and the Ivory Coast have always known how to show that they were in solidarity with each other when necessary “, explained Mrs. Moreno after the meeting with Mrs. Dominique Ouattara.

Please note that Ms. Elisabeth Moreno is running for legislative elections in France. She is the candidate of the presidential majority in the legislative elections to represent the French of the ninth constituency which is made up of the Maghreb and West Africa.
