Taekwondo. Two youngsters from Montfort-sur-Risle competed in the French championships

First Dreux International Open (Eure-et-Loir) It took place on Saturday, February 26. jonas conhoc (cadet category -33 kg), of the club of Montfort-sur-Risle (Eure)participated in order to prepare the French Championship of taekwondo. He won the gold medal after winning all four of his bouts.

The following weekend, March 5-6, 2022, Jonas and his older brother Nolan I went to French Championship which took place in Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme).

Nolan (in the junior category -68 kg) confirms his experience and climbs to the 3rd step of the podium. It should be noted that this is the second time that he participates in the French Championship having already finished 3rd also in 2017 in the category (minimum -37 kg).

As for Jonas (cadet category -33 kg), he finished 2nd on the podium of the French Championship. “Very good performance for his first participation in France. Unfortunately, he could not reach his end due to an ankle injury, ”the club leaders underline.

They joined the High-Level Accession Plan

“These two fighters have shown their determination and their performance, we congratulate them for these great results and we also salute the work of the coach, Romain Veerayen”, they add.

Since the beginning of the season, Nolan and Jonas have adhered to the PAHN (High Level Access Plan), a system established in each Region by the FFTDA (French Federation of Taekwondo and Associated Disciplines).
