According to its communication department, the French Golf Federation has registered a historical record in the number of its licensees: 436,846 practitioners subscribed to a license in 2021. The previous record dates back to 2012 with 422,761 licensees. 61% are members or subscribers and 39% independent golfers.

The growth in one year of the number of licensees reached 8.4%, thanks to 47,009 new licensees, of which 30% are women, while their participation in the total number of licensees is 27%.

FFGolf is registering a very important return of players in 2021. Exactly 44,400 have retaken their license this year, which represents an increase of 48% compared to the return of players to activity last year.

According to the Federation, efforts must continue to recruit more and more young people. The 4.22% increase in its licensed staff under 19 years of age compared to 2019 (there are already 43,739) confirms, however, the potential of golf.
